A Counter Sample is a sample produced by the manufacturer in response to the buyer’s initial design, Product Specification Sheet, or "Original Sample." It represents the factory’s physical interpretation of the buyer's requirements using their available machinery, local raw materials, and internal processes.

3. Skill Assessment: It showcases the factory's level of craftsmanship—particularly in stitching, welding, or surface finishing.
4. Cost Finalization: Once the Counter Sample is made, the factory can provide a "Firm Quote," as they now know the exact labor time and material wastage involved.

When a buyer receives a Counter Sample, it usually falls into one of three categories:

• Approved: Matches the specs perfectly (Move to Golden Sample).
• Approved with Comments: Minor issues (e.g., "Change logo color to 2 shades darker").
• Rejected: Major deviations (Move to 2nd Counter Sample).

• Labeling: Always ensure the factory labels the sample as "Counter Sample #1," "CS #2," etc., to avoid mixing up different iterations.
